I. Introduction
The steel industry of China has entered the phase of 100 RMB interest. The slag conveyor could bring the economic benefit of more than 10 RMB to the company.
On December 25, 2004, the first slag conveyor was put into use in Jiangsu ShaGang Group in the global metallurgy industry. Until now, at least forty units of slag conveyor have been applied in more than thirty steel enterprises in China.
In July, 2005, the first KR molten iron desulfurization slag conveyor pretreating system was put into use in Shandong Taishan Steel Company, featuring 50% of molten iron desulfurization slag conveyor and 100% of molten iron full slag conveyor, and brought the economic benefit of more than 20 million RMB per year for the company.
In September, 2005, the particle Mg molten iron desulphurization slag conveyor system was put into use in ShouGang Group, and the molten iron slag conveyor replaced the slagging-off machine, with the desulfurization decreasing from 0.0092% to 0.0069%.
On December 21, 2005, the research project of efficient molten iron slag conveyor passed the recognition of “Efficient Molten Iron Slag Conveyor” by the Ministry in Beijing and was listed in the National Key New Products Plan Project in 2006, and Shandong Torch Plan Project in 2005.
In November, 2007, the first molten iron desulphurization slag conveyor system was put in use in Xingtai Steel Company, opening the new process of shaft furnace-molten iron desulphurization slag conveyor-convertor steelmaking.
Currently, the slag conveyor has been recognized by the industry, and entered the quick promotion phase. With the development of the company, we will provide more contribution to the domestic and international steel industry.
II. Comparison between slag conveyor and slagging-off machine
ZH rotary slag conveyor is the large special equipment of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic integration, featuring high efficiency and less iron loss. The slag conveyor has the following advantages compared with the slagging-off machine:
a. Settle the problems of more iron in slag, long slagging-off hours and low slagging-off rate.
b. Ladle is not necessary to tilt, simplifying the equipment and saving the investment of 1 million RMB.
c. Slag conveyor could be rotated 360°, and the distribution is simple.
d. The service life of the slag rake is doubled, reaching more than 50 ladle time.
e. The operation and control are flexible and convenient.

a. Slag with iron: <1.5kg iron/ton;
b. Slag time: the slag operation time for 5-8 minutes;
c. Slag rate: >80%
III. Technology introduction
1. Design basis: iron
Water ladle tonnage: 120 ton
Desulphurization method: KR method mixing desulphurization
2. Scheme design: two-machine three-position desulphurization slag conveyor: 
Two KR desulphurization systems correspond to three units of slag conveyors. The advantage of this technology distribution is that the slag conveying positions could be ongoing simultaneously and do not interact each other.
3. Annual handling capacity: the slag No.1 position matches the desulphurization No.1 position, 30 minutes ladle. The slag No.2 and No.3 positions match the desulphurization No.2 position, making the desulphurization and slag handling simultaneously. The annual handling capacity is: 5 ladle x 100 ton ladle x 24 hours/day x 310 days=3.72 million ton.
IV. Economic benefit analysis
a. If the molten iron price is calculated according to the current 3000 RMB ton, and it saves 19.5 RMB per ton iron, and annual handling capacity is 3.72 million ton molten iron. Only the slag with iron could save 72.54 thousand RMB.
b. Each shift consists of 4 person for the slag position, and the total consumption is 2.07 RMB/ ton iron.
c. As the operation time is reduced by more than 50% and the slag conveying rate is improved by more than 20%. Thus the slag with iron could save 102.4 million RMB per year.
d. Project investment:
Compared with slagging-off machine, the slag conveyor could regain the investment in a month after the project is put into production.
V. ZH series of efficient slag conveyor
ZH series of efficient slag conveyor is the main product of our company, featuring high efficiency, less iron, and short slagging time.
ZH series of efficient molten iron slag conveyor could overcome the defect of common slagging-off machine.
Compared with slagging-off machine, the molten iron slag conveyor features high efficiency, less iron, short slagging time, no tilting of the molten ladle.
The product is developed independently by our company, owning the proprietary intellectual property right. Only for the reduction of the slag with iron, the economic benefit is increased by 20 million RMB per year for each 1 million molten iron.
